Kid-friendly Corn dog Muffins

Along with the rest of the American public, my family loves corn dogs. My health-conscious mothering side says: "NO! Hot dogs are disgusting!" They are not something you will find in my household regularly. However the inner fat kid says "screw it, they're so yummmyyy".
So I saw that people were making corn dog muffins and I realized that I could choose to make them less horrible and still make a delicious treat every once in awhile.
I also came to the conclusion that although I eat very well during the week, my weekends are destroying any effort to lose weight. Tear....
SO I am in efforts to find satisfying, easy weekend meals and snacks so that we won't want to eat out all weekend.
These corn dogs will be one, along with homemade pizza and maybe some pork fried rice to curb the take-out cravings. (Not all in the same weekend of course).
Point being, if we get home from a night out and we have one of these homemade versions of fast food, it will save some cash and calories.

So back to the muffins.....

-1 package of Hebrew National ALL beef hot dogs (No fillers, gluten or by products)
-Either a package of cornbread mix or better yet, homemade cornbread!

The hot dogs disappeared! Some people put them straight up and down, but this way made more sense to me.

They are really yummy! And the more expensive hot dogs are so worth it! They have a rich flavor, better texture and of course are better for you.

The fam loved them! Cheers!
